JOB SUMMARY

The Industrial Electrical Account/Project Manager actively builds a client base, proactively sells company services, performs all functions of a Project Manager (PM) for projects and accounts that do not have an assigned PM, and provides PM oversight for accounts or projects assigned to the Account Manager. Guides and directs assigned team of interns, project engineers, and assistant PMs. Contributes to functions and actions to build and enhance the company infrastructure, culture, and communication. Manages all aspects of assigned customers and prospects from getting the jobs, building client relationships, overseeing every project aspect and phase, and providing complete coordination and communication to all parties. Directs and trains team. Experience in Medium Voltage projects preferred.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Management

  • Oversee and mentor Assistant Project Managers, Interns, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
  • Develop assigned team members’ performance, knowledge, and skills for future roles.
  • Conduct team member performance reviews.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, communication, and constructive feedback.
  • Counsel direct reports and submit performance reviews in a timely manner.
  • Handle discipline, counseling, and terminations in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Promote company culture and values.

Project & Operations Management

  • Direct overall project management.
  • Review and accept projects and contracts with guidance from the Director of Operations.
  • Oversee and manage project coordination and client deliverables.
  • Establish workflows and sequences to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate material procurement and requisition needs.
  • Keep projects on budget, compliant, and safe.

Financial & Contract Oversight

  • Manage overall financials for accounts.
  • Estimate and bid on projects aligned with company objectives.
  • Review contracts with the Director of Operations and document/enforce all contract requirements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Oversee and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
  • Foster a culture of workplace safety.

Client Relations & Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Procure new projects and business opportunities.
  • Create and deliver presentations as required.

COMPETENCIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)

Experience: At least 10 years of supervising industrial electrical projects with multiple teams. Medium Voltage experience preferred.

Certifications & Licenses: Valid Journeyman or Masters License

WORKING CONDITIONS

Industrial Electrical Foreman

Position: Electrician Foreman

RAPIER is looking for an Electrical Foreman to oversee industrial electrical projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. The Electrical Foreman will lead one or more teams of journeyman and apprentice electricians, coordinate job site activities, and effectively communicate with Superintendent, Project Manager, and customer for project details and expectations.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

· Supervise and lead a team of electricians and apprentices on industrial electrical projects.

· Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure team members meet quality and safety standards.

· Train and mentor journeyman and apprentice electricians, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.

· Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Project Oversight & Execution:

· Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.

· Plan and lay out electrical work, ensuring efficient project execution.

Medium Voltage Technician

Job Summary

RAPIER INDUSTRIES is seeking a Medium Voltage Technician that is responsible for the installation, termination, splicing, and maintenance of medium voltage (5kV–35kV) electrical distribution systems. This role requires advanced technical skills, strict adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Cable Work

  • Install, splice, and terminate medium voltage cables (concentric neutral, tape shielded, etc.).
  • Perform cable preparation including insulation removal, stress cone installation, and shielding.

System Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Inspect and maintain MV switchgear, transformers, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose faults in distribution systems and perform corrective repairs.
  • Document maintenance activities and repair logs.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and OSHA standards.
  • Apply lockout/tagout, arc-flash safety, and PPE procedures.
  • Maintain work quality consistent with company and client requirements.

The Estimator should have a strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, labor costs, and industrial project specifications.

This position will be on the Project Management career path where the goal is to be promoted to Assistant Project Manager once all competencies are learned and mastered.
