  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements

  • Perform quality audits and inspections of field work

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Interface with customers, facility managers, general contractors, and engineers
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, job walks, and closeout meetings
  • Assist with scope clarification, change orders, and technical problem-solving
  • Support commissioning and system turnover activities

Training & Team Development

  • Mentor and train low-voltage technicians and leads
  • Identify skill gaps and support certification development
  • Uphold company standards for workmanship, professionalism, and teamwork

Competencies:

    • Structured cabling systems
    • Fiber and copper installations
    • Industrial facilities and data centers
    • Controls and automation network support
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Construction drawings
    • Riser diagrams

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certifications & Licenses:
    • BICSI Technician (TECH) Certification — Required

Low Voltage Senior Technician

Position: Low Voltage Senior Technician

The Low Voltage Senior Technician is responsible for leading installation, testing, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems and low-voltage infrastructure. This position requires strong technical proficiency in voice, data, and fiber systems, as well as the ability to oversee crews, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure projects meet company standards for quality, safety, and timelines.

Responsibilities:

Blueprints & Documentation

  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings.
  • Complete daily job reports, material logs, and test documentation.

Installation & Testing

  • Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling systems.
  • Perform certification testing of channels and links using Level 1 and Level 2 test equipment.
  • Build and dress telecommunications closets and racks according to specifications.
  • Assemble and install modular plugs, coaxial connectors, and jacks.

System Setup & Grounding

  • Identify and install proper grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling.
  • Identify active voice, data, and fiber circuits and perform necessary patching and labeling.
  • Dress, terminate, and secure outdoor cables with lightning protection as required.

Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead small installation crews, delegating tasks and mentoring junior technicians.
  • Coordinate daily activities and issues with Project Managers or Supervisors.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and site representatives.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, standards, and codes (TIA/EIA, NEC).

Quality & Safety

  • Enforce safety procedures and site requirements in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Perform quality control inspections throughout each phase of installation.
  • Verify system labeling, testing accuracy, and documentation completion.

Competencies:

  • Proficient in copper, coax, and fiber optic systems installation and testing.
  • Knowledge of BICSI, NEC, and industry best practices.
  • Experience leading crews or training junior technicians.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
